Reader Survey

I love writing this blog.  I love expressing and teaching and making friends around the world.  Writers need readers and I am grateful for those of you that take the time to read my work, my ramblings, my ideas.  Now, I want to hear from you!

Why do you read my blog?

What are your favorite topics that I write about?

What would you like to see written about?

If you are one of the readers that reads every one of my posts, what draws you to my blog each day?

What are your thoughts on the blog, photography, or anything else?

I plan on writing this blog for many years to come.  Thank you for taking the time to comment.  Thank you for taking the time to check into Farmgirl School!  Have a beautiful, inspired day!

  1. I love when you talk about practical applications for your remedies and recipes! You make me confident that I can make my own things and use them properly and it sure doesn’t take as much time as you would think!

  2. I read it because that’s how I am able to keep up with you without blowing your phone up every day! Lol Everything you post about I am interested in and want to learn. I feel I have been in your spot a few times and I look forward to taking the time out each day to read what’s going on. I look back at old blogs for information such as the egg bound chicken one… I laughed my way through figuring out my own chicken issue.

    1. Oh poor Mahalia!! I was worried that I wouldn’t have anything to write about anymore but it turns out I was just getting started! Thank you for reading my work. It means a lot when friends take the time to follow our crazy life! I think YOU need blog! Then I don’t have to stalk you and Olivia on facebook!

  3. I read your blog initially because it was so interesting and diverse. So many subjects, so little time! I’m very interested in the whole American homesteading culture and the fact that you have a huge amount of the population who are canning and preserving things that you grow and preserve for the winter months. I follow a couple of blogs all the time, a few that I just refer to when I have a question or query about canning (bottling!) which I now do more or less without a thought, but it’s scary stuff when you think you’re alone. I read it more now as I’m coming to think of you as a friend even though there are quite a few miles between us and little likelihood of sharing coffee and cake physically but virtually all things are possible!

  4. The beekeeping article first drew me but as I follow all of your articles are great and my wife enjoys them too (who reads over my shoulder). It also helped me form my blog from just beekeeping to homesteading in general. Now I just need to work on posting as well. 🙂

  5. I read your blogs because you are an INSPIRATION to many!! Whether you are writing about life, herbalism, food, whatever. You are honest, real, caring, loving, so many more positive adjectives and I am drawn to that essence of your humanity. Your blog IS one of my daily devotionals. Keep writing and living your life!!

  6. I came across your blog when searching for others who had an interest in homesteading. I so enjoyed all the topics you wrote about that I couldn’t stop reading. You were living a life similar to the one I wanted to live and I was learning much from your experiences. You taught me much about herbalism (I really need to find time to start studying my course) and while your life may not be where you want it right now, neither is mine. Because of that, I continue to read to see where this journey takes you.

  7. I read your blog because; 1) I am an older homesteader and I was interested in your homestead lifestyle 2) I study herbs (I use them with my chickens) and I would LOVE to read more about herbs/herbalism in your upcoming blogs. 3) Your writing style is captivating. Now like a good story I am intrigued where you land and how you start your life over. I want to know the ending to this good book!!
