Baby Farmgirl

We raised our pre-teens and teens in the country and I wish that I had moved them out here a bit earlier.  My daughters still want trucks and found boys that love outdoor activities.  They are pretty country.  Our son promptly moved back to the city!  I like it here though.  Folks are polite around here and will help each other out in a pinch.  I like how even the teenagers friend me on social media and wave as they drive by.  The people here are good people.  My granddaughter, Maryjane, is being raised in the country, in fresh air, and clean pastures.  When she comes to visit Grammie and Papa’s house she delights in the animals and wants to be outside a good part of the time that we babysit.  What a blessing to raise children in the country.

May we all find that childlike wonder in the country.

I need to get my girls to the country, but for now, we visit the country as often as we can. In November, they’ll be visiting your part of the ‘country.’ Hotel reservations are made and we’ll be there November 21st – 24th. By then you’ll be all moved in to your new homestead we’ll be checking out the sites and sounds of Colorado. Can’t wait!!!!

Hopefully your homestead will be out here!

We have an elderly neighbour who has been a farmer all his life, he sat in the pub one night and said he said a prayer every morning to give thanks that he had not been born in the city. I totally agreed with him!

There are old timers here who have been here for 80+years and never chose to leave. I would love to get into a place that I can settle in and be that old timer someday! Maybe this is the place!

Our story is similar. One of the reasons we moved back here was so my children would have the benefit of growing up in the country. They did have their teenage years here, but not those wonderful pre-teen years. Both live in the city now that they’re grown, though they do have a fondness in their hearts for this place and they do have some of the skills that rural living give you. Maryjane is getting a great start in life!

I’m glad Maryjane’s parents love the country and have decided to live here. Now I can get the baby a horse. (Right after I get an additional job!)
